Adding your own Town into iGoogle’s weather Gadget

Are you an iGoogle user? Do you use the weather gadget in your iGoogle? Do you find it hard or strange that the town/state which you selected isn’t really correct?

I’m staying in one of the area affected by this bug and this bug hadn’t been fixed for months. Perhaps no one have actually reported it or Google just didn’t seem to care.

However, there’s an alternative way to add your own state’s weather report  into your iGoogle.

Go to your normal google.com search page and type “weather: [your town]” without quotes and replace [your town] with the place you’re staying.

Then, you’ll be presented with the weather forecast and an option to add it into your iGoogle.

Ah… haven’t been using much iGoogle weather, so no idea. Thanks for the tip though.

Not using iGoogle very much but the Gmail theme I’m using detects the local weather and changes its background accordingly. It’s called Tree. Very cool wan.

Well, I don’t really log into iGoogle much or use Gmail other than Emails and Calendar for my schedules.

I really do find all the Google apps quite interesting and really suits a lot of people’s lifestyle.

The only problem is, they are all not portable. You can’t use them all in your phone, and a netbook is still too big and slow. And our Wireless network are either too expensive or they have bad coverage.
