Lilian C? Lucia L?

April 8th, 2009 Posted in Personal

Do you know them?

They are quite famous bloggers from Penang. However, why did I mentioned their names?

That’s because I found some PC in a public place with a Gmail account which has not yet been signed out… And there are a whole bunch of names including theirs…

Whoever the person who left the PC as it is like that, rest assured that I read nothing except for spotting those names I recognized. I’ve also helped you to sign out so no one else can wrongly use your account or the information inside including your friend’s email account…

  1. Eh, kamsia wor. But I never log in my gmail account, maybe what you see is the group mail. KNN, I must alert the group already.

  2. hey george, thanks for the alert. how are you? long time no see/contact eh.

why ah some people so careless, never log off their webmail-based account on a public computer. if that’s the case, means all their emails can be read by anyone.

  3. Hi Lilian: Hi, it’s not your account. It belongs to someone else… And yup, it’s a group mail. Perhaps it’s also a good idea to warn your friends not to simply log in using a public computer which might contain a virus which records your account and password.

Hi Lucia: Yup, long time no see. Some people are careless with personal information. That’s why privacy issue is quite serious in some other countries while in Malaysia, people are more concerned about the privacy of their private parts in the forms of Videos and pictures… :P

  4. thanks ya;-)hopefully it wasnt my email

  5. [...] If you have used a public computer to surf the net and check your emails before, you might probably have forgotten to sign out of your email account before you left the computer for another stranger to use. That stranger can access your emails, change your settings, send emails from your account and even obtain sensitive information of you or your contacts. Just as easy as how I accessed someone’s email. [...]
