I'm not sure if it's really a fake or if BNM is hiding something or not admitting something. The quality is certainly very obvious that it's different. If coins of these quality is acceptable, then it'll be encouraging people to accept bad quality coins of any value as well. The quality is certainly very obvious that it’s different. If coins of these quality is acceptable, then it’ll be encouraging people to accept bad quality coins of any value as well.

Also don’t forget that the cost of Minting a REAL 50 sen costs more then the 50 sen itself… Minting a fake one might cost less.
